* Trump, the first former president to be convicted of felony crimes, labelled the president's son Hunter a "convicted felon". Hunter Biden was convicted in June of felony charges over the purchase of a revolver
* Biden referenced Trump's own criminal convictions, saying he had had "sex with a porn star" while his wife was pregnant, referring to Stormy Daniels, which Trump denied
* Biden also said Trump had been found civilly liable for "molesting a woman in public", in a reference to writer E Jean Carroll, and said, "you have the morals of an alley cat"
* Trump suggested his supporters who stormed the US Capitol on January 6 were actually peaceful and are now being politically persecuted
* Trump noted he would accept the November election results "if it's a fair and legal and good election" but he would not give a yes or no answer
* Biden blamed Trump for eroding abortion rights. "It's been a terrible thing what you've done," Biden said, pledging to restore the law. Trump said his presidency returned the issue of abortion to the people through state laws
* Biden spoke softly, in a hoarse voice, as he talked up the economic gains on his watch, saying he rescued it from "free fall" and "chaos" in 2021
* Trump listened with a bemused expression and when it was his turn to speak, bragged about the state of the economy during his term, saying "everything was rocking good"
